Determination of the amount of tetrahydrothiophene added as an odorant: The relevant regulations on the amount of odorant added in the Design Code for Urban Gas (GB50028-2020) are as follows:
1. No gas leakage into the air, reaching 20% of the lower explosive limit, should be detectable;
2. When gas leaks into the air and reaches the harmful concentration allowed for human health, it should be noticeable.
In its interpretation, it is further suggested that when using tetrahydrothiophene (THT) for odorization of natural gas, the dosage of odorant should not be less than 20mg/Nm3, and the concentration at the central end should not be less than 8mg/Nm3.
