GRSR150 Roots Vacuum Pump

Installation location: Roots pumps should be installed in a dry, ventilated, and clean area.

Roots pumps should be installed horizontally, with a minimum clearance of 300mm between the pump and walls or other objects. The oil window of the pump should leave a space for easy observation of the oil level. When connecting the power supply, attention should be paid to the direction of the motor rotation. From the rear of the Roots pump motor, the direction of the motor shaft rotation should be clockwise.

Operation steps: Connect the three-phase power supply of the motor, press the motor start button, and check if the direction of rotation is correct. If the direction of rotation is opposite, swap any two of the three power supply connectors. The pipeline connecting the Roots pump and the pumped container should be clean, dry, and leak free. The diameter of the pipeline should be as small as possible and not less than the inlet diameter of the Roots pump. The length should be short to reduce pumping speed loss, and there should be no leakage at the pipeline connection.

When the extracted gas contains dust or particulate matter, a suitable intake filter should be installed at the inlet of the pump to prevent dust or particulate matter from entering the pump chamber and damaging the Roots pump and the front stage pump.
