1、 Overview of GHF type activated carbon adsorber

GHF type activated carbon adsorber is also known as activated carbon adsorption tower, activated carbon adsorber, or activated carbon adsorption device in exhaust gas treatment equipment. The GHF series activated carbon adsorption filter (tower) is an environmentally friendly equipment product developed and produced by our company for waste gas filtration and odor adsorption. Activated carbon adsorption towers have the advantages of high adsorption efficiency, wide applicability, easy maintenance, and the ability to simultaneously treat various mixed waste gases. Activated carbon has the functions of removing harmful gases such as formaldehyde, benzene, TVOC, and disinfection and deodorization. Activated carbon adsorption towers are widely used in the production of electronic components, battery (battery) production, acid washing operations, laboratory exhaust, metallurgy, chemical industry, pharmaceuticals, painting, food, brewing and other waste gas treatment, and are suitable for purification of spray painting waste gas treatment.

2、 Working principle

Organic waste gas is powered by a fan and enters the activated carbon adsorber tower under positive or negative pressure. Due to the presence of unbalanced and unsaturated molecular or chemical forces on the solid surface of activated carbon, when the solid surface comes into contact with gas, it can attract gas molecules, concentrate and maintain them on the solid surface, and adsorb pollutants. After passing through a filter, the waste gas enters the equipment's dust removal system to purify the gas for high-altitude emission standards.

3、 Technical Introduction

Activated carbon is a black powdery, granular, or pellet shaped amorphous carbon with porous properties. The main component is charcoal, which also contains small amounts of oxygen, hydrogen, sulfur, nitrogen, and chlorine. It also has a fine structure like graphite, but with smaller grains and irregularly stacked layers. Has a large surface area (500-1000 ㎡/g). It has strong adsorption ability and can adsorb gases, liquids or colloidal solids on its surface. The adsorption of gas and liquid can be close to the quality of activated carbon itself.

Its adsorption effect is selective, and non-polar substances are easier to adsorb than polar substances. In the same series of substances, substances with higher boiling points are more easily adsorbed. The higher the pressure and temperature, the higher the concentration, and the greater the adsorption capacity. Conversely, reducing pressure and increasing temperature are beneficial for gas desorption.

Activated carbon is commonly used for gas adsorption, separation, and purification, solvent recovery, decolorization agents for sugar, oil, glycerol, deodorizers for drinking water or refrigerators, filter agents for gas masks, and can also be used as catalysts or metal salt catalysts.
