The GD-SZ Microwave Moisture Measurement and Control System receives analog signals including sintering belt weighing signal, electromagnetic flowmeter water addition signal, and sintering mixture moisture signal output by the moisture meter.
1、 System Introduction

The switch signal received by the GD-SZ microwave moisture measurement and control system includes the startup signal of the mixed belt and the startup signal of each mixer, which is a signal without a dry contact point.
After the sintering line is turned on, the on-site operator first manually controls it until the system is stable. After the system is stable, the incoming water content of the sintering mixture is calculated and manually written into the controller. Using this incoming water content, the corresponding amount of water added to the sintering mixture is calculated. The calculation formula is as follows:
Incoming moisture value=Target moisture value - Actual water added/Material weight ---------------------------------------------------------------
The amount of water to be added is equal to the weight of the material multiplied by the target moisture value minus the incoming moisture value. (2)
In the GD-SZ Microwave Moisture Measurement and Control System, the PID2 adjustment module, which is based on the estimated amount of water to be added as the given value, controls the opening of the regulating valve through PID operation to achieve the desired amount of water to be added. The other PID1 adjustment module compares the detection signal of the microwave moisture meter with the target moisture value and corrects the opening of the regulating valve through PID operation to stabilize the moisture value of the sintering mixture near the required target moisture value, ultimately achieving fully automatic control of the moisture value of the sintering mixture.
The signal of the electronic belt scale in the GD-SZ Microwave Moisture Measurement and Control System is both a feedforward signal and a coarse adjustment signal. When the weight of the sintered mixture changes, the amount of water to be added also changes accordingly, and the output of PID2 also changes accordingly. However, the sintered material has a delay of about three minutes in the mixer (the specific time varies with the process situation), and the measurement signal of the microwave moisture meter changes with a delay of three minutes. To eliminate the influence of measurement delay, the corresponding amount of water added to the sintered material weight is considered in the system. Therefore, there will be no large fluctuations in the amount of water added during the sintering production process, which means that the stability of the moisture value is ensured within a certain range, and the moisture content of the sintered mixture will not undergo excessive changes.
The GD-SZ Microwave Moisture Measurement and Control System is equipped with triple protection. When the output of the belt scale is zero, the protection is activated. When the mixed belt and mixer stop running, the water addition protection is uniformly activated. This not only switches the system from automatic to manual operation, but also switches the output of the regulating valve to zero and activates the cut-off valve to close the water addition circuit, ensuring that there is no misoperation of water addition during the testing process.

2、 System composition
The GD-SZ Microwave Moisture Measurement and Control System consists of two core parts: measurement and control. It uses the M60S microwave moisture meter as the measurement part to ensure accurate and reliable moisture measurement. The programmable controller and other controller units are integrated into the control cabinet, and combined with various peripheral detection and control devices such as flow meters, intelligent electric regulating valves, and shut-off valves to form a moisture measurement and control device.

In the moisture control system, it is accurate and reliable. This system uses the M60S microwave moisture meter designed specifically for metallurgical industry applications as the measuring equipment.
