Packaging structure design is the design of the external structure and internal accessories of packaging based on scientific principles, starting from the actual conditions of packaging and production. When designing, it is necessary to ensure that the structure has sufficient strength, hardness, and the ability to resist other environments. From the purpose of packaging, two aspects must be considered: first, protecting the primary function of the product, and second, meeting the important features of modern packaging, such as transportation and processing characteristics. Qualified cardboard products start with the correct structural design. Designers not only need to truly understand the client's intentions, but also be familiar with the post-processing technology. Only in this way can customer intentions be transformed into qualified products and ensure smooth subsequent processing. Designers need to understand the nature, shape, size, weight, arrangement, transportation, and stacking methods of the contents, the storage environment, transportation route, and time of the contents, as well as the type of cardboard boxes and production materials before starting the design. There are some technical and guiding ideology issues in the design of cardboard boxes in China, lacking systematic analysis, which makes the designed packaging unable to meet the requirements of ergonomics and technical and economic rationality. This is reflected very clearly in the design of cardboard box dimensions.
