With the increasing size of sintering equipment and stricter requirements for environmental quality, electrostatic precipitator technology has been successfully applied to the purification of sintering machine head flue gas both domestically and internationally, and has achieved significant results. Sintering flue gas has the characteristics of negative high pressure, high moisture content, and complex chemical composition, and the generated dust has a high specific resistance, making it difficult to apply electrostatic precipitator technology in this industry. The second sintering plant of Jinan Iron and Steel Group has successfully applied the wide spacing technology of electrostatic precipitators to the dust removal of sintering machine head flue gas, which is beneficial for the negative high voltage, high moisture content, high specific resistance of dust, and easy scarring of dust containing potassium and sodium ions in the sintering machine head. By increasing the electrode spacing, improving the working voltage, suppressing electric field flashover, reducing the occurrence of back corona, and improving the working voltage of the electric field, the effective capture effect on the operation of the electric field and dust is very significant.
