GX5280 is a high-performance and low-cost 3U PXI dynamic digital I/O board that provides 32 TTL and LVDS dynamic direction control input and output channels. GX5292 also provides 512MB onboard vector memory for deep storage, with each pin capable of dynamic direction control and a maximum speed of up to 200MHz. Single board design supports master and slave functions without the need for additional modules.

The GX5280 supports optional I/O levels of 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, or 5V (TTL, LVTTL, CMOS, and LVCMOS). In addition, GX5282 and GX5283 also support differential channels of 32 LVDS, M-LVDS, or LVDM logic series.

The TTL/LVTTL interface utilizes programmable voltage resources and can set the output logic level from 1.4V to 3.6V. Programmable thresholds of 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, or 3.3V (5V compatible) support standard logic input signals. The recommended working input voltage range is 0 V to 5.5 V. GX5282 and GX5283 can be operated as independent cards or up to seven additional slave boards, providing a total of 256 synchronization channels.

By using a windowed approach for PCI memory access, the required PCI storage space for each board is limited to 16MB, thereby saving resources for the testing system. It also supports direct mode of continuous data transmission between the test system controller and the I/O pins of GX5280.

The data direction is bidirectional, and the direction configuration is based on each byte. It also supports single channel output enable control.

GX5281 provides a total memory of 128MB, 32MB per channel, while GX5282 provides a total memory of 256MB, 64Mb per channel. GX5283 has a total memory of 512MB.

The programmable I/O width allows for the transaction vector width of the vector depth. In a 32 channel configuration, GX5283 supports 128Mb per channel, programmable to a width of 1 channel and a depth of 4GB. Supports widths of 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, and 1 channel.

All GX5280 series circuit boards offer programmable TTL/LVTTL output clock and gating, and support external clock and strobe. Programmable PLL (Phase Locked Loop) provides configurable clock frequency and delay. GX5283 also provides an LVDS output clock.

All GX5280 series circuit boards can stop or pause defined addresses or loops through the entire memory. GX5283 can define addresses or memory block loops.

Programming and software

The board is provided with GTDIO/DIOEasy, including powerful graphics vector development/waveform display tools, as well as virtual dashboards, 32/64 bit DLL driver libraries, and documentation. Virtual panels can be used to interactively control and monitor instruments from a window that displays their current settings and status. In addition, various interface files can access the instrument's functional library for programming tools and languages such as ATEasy, C / C ++,Microsoft VisualBasic ®, Pascal, Delphi, and LabVIEW. The online help file and PDF user guide provide instructions for installing, using, and programming the board.
