System Overview


The so-called dry quenching refers to a method of quenching red coke by using inert gas to cool it down. During the dry quenching process, red coke is loaded from the top of the dry quenching furnace, and low-temperature inert gas is blown into the red coke layer in the cooling section of the dry quenching furnace by the circulating fan, absorbing the moisture and heat of the red coke. The cooled coke is discharged from the bottom of the dry quenching furnace, and the high-temperature inert gas from the annular flue of the dry quenching furnace flows through the dry quenching boiler for heat exchange. The boiler produces steam, and the cooled inert gas is blown back into the dry quenching furnace by the circulating fan. The inert gas is circulated and used in a closed system.

During dry quenching operation, a small amount of air may leak into the negative pressure section of the gas circulation system, O2Through the red coke layer, it will react with coke to generate C02. CO2In the high-temperature zone of the coke layer, it will be reduced to CO again. As the number of cycles increases, the concentration of CO in the circulating gas becomes higher and higher.
