Directly connected shutter

In order to obtain accurate results of transmission, absorption, reflection, irradiance, or color measurements at different integration times, dark background measurements are required. This type of dark background measurement is usually done manually, such as covering the sensor or turning off the light source. But this operation is often limited by time, location, or operator, which may lead to problems in certain applications. Our solution: Install a remote control shutter between the slit at the entrance of the spectrometer and the input fiber. Avantes' directly connected shutter is a suitable accessory for achieving automatic switching of spectrometers. The shutter is controlled by external trigger sources or TTL pulses from AvaSpec spectrometer, and connected through a control line (IC-DB26-AS-SHUTTER-0.6, to be ordered separately). The DA shutter can be directly connected to the SMA input connector of the spectrometer, while the optical fiber that is usually connected to the spectrometer is now connected to the DA shutter. The shutter, power supply, and TTL control signals all need to be connected to the controller. The DA shutter uses an industrial grade shutter motor internally, which can meet most industrial usage environments. Its working life can reach 5000000 cycles, which can meet 24/7 operation in most situations. DA Shutter also requires a 12 volt DC power adapter with model PS-12V/2.08A (to be ordered separately).
