The use of reciprocating rotary joints: Lubricating oil is dripped around the sealing surface of the joint between the moving ring and the graphite ring to prevent damage to the graphite ring due to adhesion between the two parts. Long term disuse of the machine can cause rusting and damage to the sealing components of the rotary joint. If reused, there may be jamming or leakage. The inlet and outlet of the rotary joint must be connected with hoses and have sufficient length. The internal cleanliness of the piping and rollers should be maintained, as new machines often suffer from abnormal damage to the rotating joints due to unclean interiors

The threads of the rotating shaft of the rotary joint and the fixed inner pipe are divided into left-hand and right-hand. The roller rotates clockwise using a left-hand threaded joint, and vice versa. The rotating shaft of the rotary joint has a right-handed thread, and the thread that fixes the inner pipe is also right-handed.
