DM4M Leica metallographic microscope
The reproducibility of the German Leica metallographic microscope DM4 M is crucial in applications such as steel inclusion ratio determination, grain
Product details
The DM4M Leica metallographic microscope can automatically recognize the selected phase contrast method and the objective lens being used, accurately open or close the aperture stop and field stop, and automatically adjust the light intensity.
Leica DM4 M and Leica DM6 M are your ideal industrial microscopes, whether you are a novice or a professional.

You can easily access the previous microscope settings and instantly copy imaging parameters through the software function "Store and Recall" in *. Suitable for any type of sample.
One click 'intelligent automation' allows you to easily handle repetitive tasks. These memory enabled microscopes can help you reduce training time, improve workflow, and achieve excellent imaging results consistently.
With the Illumination Manager and Contrast Manager, Leica metallographic microscopes can automatically recognize the selected phase contrast method and the objective lens being used, accurately open or close the aperture stop and field stop, and automatically adjust the light intensity.
Share and compare your results - anytime, anywhere! Save and call microscope settings and camera parameters through Leica Microscope Assistant (Leica LAS "Save and Call" module). They are saved and archived along with the images, and can be restored at any time.
Choose a personalized image analysis system that meets your needs
The Leica Application Suite (LAS) software platform integrates microscopes, software, and cameras into one software package, providing comprehensive efficiency in terms of interface, functionality, and workflow.
With Leica DM6 M, you can use additional modules such as Steel Expert, Cleanlines Expert, Grain Expert, and Phase Expert.
  Easy and fast!
Accelerate your workflow through the Leica SmartTouch touchscreen on the Leica DM6 M or the freely programmable function buttons on the Leica DM6 M and Leica Smart Move remote controls.
The Leica DM4 M allows you to work conveniently and quickly: the clearly laid out display screen provides a clear view of all microscope settings. Six function keys help to easily operate various commonly used functions - no need to search from samples.
  Worry free lighting!
LED lighting contributes to the reproducibility of results - whether you are working in bright field (BF), high dynamic dark field (HDF), differential interference contrast (DIC), fluorescence (FL), or polarization (POL) states.
Your sample can be viewed at a constant color temperature under any microscope setting: there is no need to reset the camera or adjust the white balance every time the brightness changes.
Choose one or more available phase contrast observation methods to detect more flaws and defects on the sample.
Energy and cost savings: LED lighting can save energy and has a lifespan of up to 25000 hours, making microscope downtime caused by bulb replacement a thing of the past.
  Accurate and meticulous!
With fully automatic differential interference contrast (DIC) and a 1.25x panoramic mirror, even the smallest details can be detected:
No need for effort, easily achieve your goals: simply press a button and all system components of the Leica DM6 M (such as analyzer, polarizer, and appropriate prism) will automatically move to the light path, while each objective's fine-tuning is saved.
1.25x panoramic mirror, * presenting an overview of the sample. With Leica DM4 M, every detail can be observed accurately with excellent depth of field.

Main purpose:
1. Drawing - It is easy to observe metallographic images on a computer monitor and analyze, grade, etc. metallographic diagrams.
2. Measurement - can measure the dimensions of any geometric shape on a plane (angle, length, diameter, radius, distance from point to line, eccentricity of circle, distance between two circles, etc.).
3. Annotation - Various geometric dimensions can be annotated on actual workpieces in real-time images.
4. Photography - can capture physical objects, including the dimensions marked.
5. Graphic output to AutoCAD - can output the actual shape of the workpiece depicted in real-time images to AutoCAD as a standard engineering drawing.
6. JPEG image input: JPEG images captured in advance can be compared with workpieces in real-time images.
7. Output to AutoCAD for automatic alignment: You can set benchmarks for the graphics depicted based on the actual shape of the workpiece in real-time images according to actual needs and align the graphics during transmission
8. Standard engineering drawing input in AutoCAD: Standard engineering drawings in AutoCAD can be directly input into real-time images and overlapped with actual workpieces for comparison, in order to identify the differences between workpieces and engineering drawings.
9. Bird's-eye view: It can observe the entire shape of the workpiece and has a zoom function similar to AutoCAD.
10. Annotate in bird's-eye view: You can annotate dimensions in the entire bird's-eye view.
11. Directly enter circles and line segments: Standard circles or lines can be entered as needed (customers can define the size, length, and coordinate position of circles and lines themselves). Then compare the standard circles, lines, and physical objects in the image to find the error of the workpiece.
12. Inputting lines in polar coordinates: Standard line segments can be inputted in polar coordinates according to customer needs.
13. Self set customer coordinates: You can set the coordinate origin (0,0) on the real-time image according to the customer's own needs.
14. Coordinate annotation: Using the coordinate origin (0,0) set by oneself as the reference, annotate the coordinate position of any point in the real-time image.
15. Capture Intersection Point: It can automatically capture the intersection point of two lines.
