1、 Equipment Introduction
The SL series cyclone oil-water separator is widely used for crude oil dehydration, oily wastewater treatment, and can also be used in chemical, mechanical, refining, shipping, offshore platforms, and environmental protection industries for wastewater treatment and liquid-liquid separation with positive and negative ratios. It can be used in series at high concentrations.
2、 Working principle
The SLYS series cyclone oil-water separator relies on the difference in specific gravity between two immiscible liquids and is mainly used to remove more than 80% of non emulsified oil from water. The key component of the cyclone oil-water separator, the cyclone tube, consists of a distribution port, a cyclone chamber, a contraction chamber, a tail cone, a tail tube, a bottom flow port, an overflow port, and other parts. The oil-water mixture enters the cyclone tube through the distribution port on the cyclone chamber, and forms a spiral flow under certain pressure difference conditions. Through two-stage contraction of the contraction chamber and tail cone, the fluid is accelerated and a stable centrifugal force field is formed inside the swirl tube. According to Stokes' law, the heavy phase water in the oil-water mixture is thrown towards the inner wall of the cyclone tube in a spiral shape under strong centrifugal force and discharged from the bottom outlet, while the light phase oil gathers at the center of the cyclone tube to form an oil core and is discharged from the overflow outlet, achieving oil-water separation. The centrifugal field generates a centrifugal acceleration of 2000g, so oil-water separation can be achieved within a few seconds. It can be manually operated or automatically controlled.
