The Oxford Instrument CMI500 is a battery powered, handheld hole copper thickness measuring instrument used in the pre - and post etching processes of circuit boards.
CMI500 features
1. Apply eddy current testing technology. When measuring, the probe releases electromagnetic waves. When the magnetic field cuts the metal layer, a change in the magnetic field occurs. By calculating this change, the copper thickness of the hole wall can be determined.
2. The measurement is not affected by the inner layer of the board, even for double-layer or multi-layer boards, and can still work well even with tin or tin/lead protective layers
3. The probe adopts temperature compensation technology, which can measure the thickness of copper holes in a timely manner even for plates that have just been taken out of the plating tank.
4. It has been calibrated before leaving the factory and does not require standard plates.
5. The instrument specific leather case comes with a transparent plastic window, so there is no need to remove the instrument from the case during use.
6. The instrument will automatically shut down after 1 minute of inactivity to save energy
7. Equipped with RS-232 port, data can be downloaded to the computer after installing software
