Electric spark detector, also known as electric spark leak detector, electric spark anti-corrosion coating leak detector, anti-corrosion coating leak detector, etc. It is a specialized instrument used to detect the quality of metal anti-corrosion coatings. This instrument can be used to perform quality testing on coatings of different thicknesses, such as enamel glass, fiberglass, epoxy coal tar, and rubber lining. 1. Principle of electric spark detector leak detection: The electric spark leak detector applies a certain amount of pulse high voltage to the surface of various conductive substrate anti-corrosion layers. If the anti-corrosion layer is too thin, there may be metal leakage or gas leakage pinholes. When the pulse high voltage passes through, it forms an air gap breakdown and generates spark discharge. At the same time, it sends a pulse signal to the alarm circuit, causing the alarm to sound an alarm, thus achieving the purpose of detecting the anti-corrosion layer.
2. Classification of electric spark detectors
Electric spark detectors can be divided into two types based on their usage and geographical location: direct current spark detectors and alternating current spark detectors. The direct current spark detector is mainly suitable for open site use such as field construction operations and convenient and fast use. Mainly powered by lead-acid batteries or nickel hydrogen batteries The AC spark detector is mainly suitable for use in enclosed and easily powered places such as factories and workshops. Mainly powered by a 220V power supply. According to the different classifications of electric spark detectors, users can choose the appropriate instrument based on their site conditions, and configure different detection probes such as low-voltage or high-voltage probes according to the different detection ranges.
