Application of UV air sterilization industry
Browse: Release date: May 9, 2020
As is well known, ultraviolet air purification systems can replace natural sunlight to purify indoor air, inactivate or eliminate various microorganisms such as bacteria, mold, viruses, etc., achieving the purpose of disinfection and sterilization. However, bacteria cannot be seen or touched. How can we have a clear understanding of whether sterilization is complete?

Dongyi has been committed to providing application solutions in the field of ultraviolet radiation for a long time. It has provided overall purification solutions for the R&D headquarters of the world-renowned pharmaceutical company Novartis in China and the German company Karl Storz Endoscope.

UV sterilization dose

Different types of microorganisms have varying sensitivities to ultraviolet radiation. When killing general bacterial colonies, the irradiation dose should reach 10000 μ W · s/cm2When killing bacterial spores, it should reach 100000 μ W · s/cm2The virus is between a typical bacterial reproductive organism and a bacterial spore.

The following are the UV doses required for killing common bacteria and viruses:

In order to meet the requirements of sterilization dosage, Shanghai Dongyi relies on Toshiba's powerful sterilization and inactivation laboratory and analysis software for ultraviolet intensity and illumination to provide air sterilization and purification design solutions through precise calculations, allowing customers to have a clear understanding of invisible and intangible air sterilization.

Toshiba Microbiology Laboratory Analysis of UV sterilization measurement software

Negative pressure ward ultraviolet sterilization equipment (national invention patent number:201410222170.4

The first domestically developed IP65 grade embedded disinfection lamp for negative pressure cleanrooms, meeting the strict sterilization requirements of wards and laboratories.

·Special dust-proof and waterproof sealing design, combined with a special quartz glass plate with a UV transmittance of over 95%, allows UVC sterilization light to efficiently penetrate inside the enclosed stainless steel and glass shell;
·The core light source adopts Toshiba special light source to ensure stable and efficient sterilization effect;
·The rear opening design makes it possible to maintain equipment and replace lamps or rectifiers in negative pressure environments.

All stainless steel mobile sterilization equipment (model MRS-T4H)(Patent number: 201420528722. X)

The mobile room sterilizer (MRS) is equipped with four high-strength and low-pressure ultraviolet lamps from Toshiba Corporation in Japan (each lamp has a nominal intensity of 140 µ W/cm ² and a service life of 13000 hours).
The equipment is made of all stainless steel and is suitable for various laboratories, wards, and clean rooms.

Case Introduction

Novartis is a leading global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, with operations in over 140 countries and regions worldwide and 128000 full-time employees.
The Chinese R&D center established by Novartis with a $1 billion investment in Zhangjiang High tech is the largest single R&D center in China to date.

In order to ensure the smooth progress of research and development work and prevent external factors from interfering with experimental results, the Novartis project has put forward extremely high requirements for sterilization and disinfection. The animal room experimental base needs to conduct regular ultraviolet sterilization and hydrogen peroxide gasification sterilization. The overall requirement for UV sterilization equipment is to have IP65 level dust and water resistance. Our company has customized an IP65 level embedded disinfection lamp for negative pressure cleanrooms specifically for this project, which meets the customer's needs well and has been highly recognized by Novartis headquarters.
