Aluminum crucible, as the main supporting tool in thermal analyzer, serves as the carrier of the sample. Aluminum is a silver white metal that is protected from reacting with air and water due to its surface oxide layer. It is easily soluble in dilute sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, and potassium hydroxide solutions, but difficult to dissolve in water. The relative density is 2.70. Melting point 660 ℃. Boiling point 2327 ℃. It is widely used due to its light weight, good electrical and thermal conductivity, high reflectivity, and oxidation resistance.
