Product Introduction
ADAM-4017 is a 16 bit, 8-channel analog input module with programmable input ranges on all channels. These modules are an extremely cost-effective solution for industrial measurement and monitoring applications. It can provide 3000V DC optical isolation protection between the analog input channel and the module to avoid damage to the module and peripheral equipment caused by high voltage on the input line. ADAM-4017 provides signal conditions, A/D conversion, range, and RS-485 digital communication functions. This module provides up to 3000 volts DC between the A/D input and the transformer for optical isolation, preventing damage to the equipment from ground currents and oscillations. ADAM-4017 uses a 16 bit microprocessor controlled ∑ - Δ converter to convert sensor voltage or current into digital data. Then, the digital data is converted into engineering units. When prompted by the host, the module will send data to the host through the standard RS-485 interface.
